"Muddy Volcanoes from Pâclele Mari is a protected area of national interest corresponding IUCN category IV (nature reserve, geological and botanical, located in Buzau County, the territory of the commune Scorțoasa.
Nature Reserve is situated at an altitude of 322 m, has an area of 22 hectares and is a geological and botanical area of interest due to the two craters of mud volcanoes located on the plateau and two species of halophilic plants (plants that grow in salty environment) Nitraria schoberi and Obione verrucifera."
