"Amurg violet" de/by/ George Bacovia (1881 - 1957)
"Amurg de toamnă violet...
Doi plopi, în fund, apar în siluete
- Apostoli în odăjdii violete -
Oraşul tot e violet.
Amurg de toamnă violet...
Pe drum e-o lume leneşă, cochetă;
Mulţimea toată pare violetă,
Oraşul tot e violet.
Amurg de toamnă violet...
Din turn, pe câmp, văd voievozi cu plete;
Străbunii trec în pâlcuri violete,
Oraşul tot e violet."
Amurg violet de George Bacovia (1881 - 1957). Din volumul „Plumb”, 1916

de
Academician Alexandru Graur
"Decembrie, pentru
noi luna a douãsprezecea, înseamnã în realitate “luna a zecea” (de la
latinescul decem “zece”), cãci la romani anul a început multã
vreme la 1 martie. Se presupune cã partea a doua a cuvîntului conţine cuvîntul mensis “lunã”, dar mai probabil e cã
avem aici un element de origine etruscã.”

Din vol. II / “Puţinã Gramaticã”.*Did you know:
"December was originally the tenth month of the year in the Roman calendar until a monthless winter period was divided between January and February. It gets its name from the Latin word "decem" which means tenth. However, when the Romans added January and February to the calendar, it became the twelfth month. The name remained the same however." source wikipedia
