Timeless (22). In passing. February. În treacăt, februarie.

The hieroglyph "What loneliness to find no meaning when there is a meaning And what loneliness to be blind in the full light of day, - and deaf, what loneliness, amidst the swelling of a song But not to understand when there is no meaning, and to be blind in the middle of the night, and deaf when silence is complete, - oh, loneliness within loneliness!" By Nichita Stănescu.

De Nichita Stănescu Din volumul "Epica magna" (1978) Haiku "Darkening darkness Behold doors of light. " By Nichita Stănescu From the "Epica magna" (1978)

The hieroglyph

What loneliness
to find no meaning
when there is a meaning

And what loneliness
to be blind in the full light of day, -
and deaf, what loneliness,
amidst the swelling of a song

But not to understand
when there is no meaning,
and to be blind in the middle of the night,
and deaf when silence is complete, -
oh, loneliness within loneliness!

Late update, 26,feb.:
In memory of Tina Forrester - EG Camera Girl.
She called herself Camera Girl from East Gwillimbury because her family used to name her like this. And this is wrote in her blog profile. Her final post was about nature starting with a beautiful picture with the title "Frost on sunroom window (February 2016)". I remained with her last comment ( dated february,15) when she said: "I love seeing the snowdrops! I won't be seeing any in my neighbourhood for a few weeks yet!". I'm deeply sad and I have no words to express the sorrow. It will remain in our memory through her beautiful photographs captured. Our prayers are with Tina and her husband who lost their lives this week.

"The Moon (in Greek: σελήνη Selene, in Latin: Luna) is Earth's only natural satellite. It is one of the largest natural satellites in the Solar System, and, among planetary satellites, the largest relative to the size of the planet it orbits (its primary). It is the second-densest satellite among those whose densities are known (after Jupiter's satellite Io).

The Moon is thought to have formed approximately 4.5 billion years ago, not long after Earth. There are several hypotheses for its origin; the most widely accepted explanation is that the Moon formed from the debris left over after a giant impact between Earth and a Mars-sized body called Theia."
"The lunar phase or phase of the moon is the shape of the illuminated (sunlit) portion of the Moon as seen by an observer on Earth. The lunar phases change cyclically as the Moon orbits the Earth, according to the changing positions of the Moon and Sun relative to the Earth. The Moon's rotation is tidally locked by the Earth's gravity, therefore the same lunar surface always faces Earth. This face is variously sunlit depending on the position of the Moon in its orbit. Therefore, the portion of this hemisphere that is visible to an observer on Earth can vary from about 100% (full moon) to 0% (new moon)."

"Ignorance is the night of the mind, but a night without moon and star."

Confucius ( 551–479 bc )
The teaching Confucius. Portrait by Wu Daozi, 685-758, Tang Dynast; Public Domain, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=857482
Chinese philosopher; Latinized name of Kongfuzi ( K'ung Fu-tzu ) “Kong the master.” His ideas about the importance of practical moral values, collected by his disciples in the Analects, formed the basis of the philosophy known as Confucianism.
""Confucius, as an exemplar of human excellence, serves as the ultimate model, rather than a deity or a universally true set of abstract principles. For these reasons, according to many commentators, Confucius' teachings may be considered a Chinese example of humanism.

One of his teachings was a variant of the Golden Rule sometimes called the "Silver Rule" owing to its negative form:

己所不欲,勿施於人。
"What you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others."
子貢問曰:“有一言而可以終身行之者乎?”子曰:“其恕乎!己所不欲、勿施於人。”
Zi Gong [a disciple] asked: "Is there any one word that could guide a person throughout life?"
The Master replied: "How about 'reciprocity'! Never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself."
Analects XV.24, tr. David Hinton"

  7. Hi! 子貢問曰、有一言而可以終身行之者乎、子曰、其恕乎、己所不欲、勿施於人. The famous sentences for us too. Almost same sentences are written in New Testament,
"Do for others what you want them to do for you." I like both of them.
Your mosaic photo is very beautiful. I like Chopin's piano works too. Thanks for sharing.

  14. I think Tina would be very surprised at the many people who mourn her death. The poem on lonliness was very thougt-provoking. I tarely photograph the moon because I live in a heavily forested area. On a full moon night, the forest is filled with a wonderful glow.

  15. What a wonderful post, Alexa! I enjoyed your photos and the edits, but also all of the associated information. The moon has inspired artists from time immemorial and it will continue to exert its charm as long as there are artists on earth!
Many thanks for taking part in the Saturday Silhouettes meme.
