"E zi de mai"... It's may...again! a mix of thoughts...

"(...) Întinerit
Mă văd, uimit,
În ciuturi
Am păr bălai,
E zi de mai,
Sunt fluturi. (...)

Iar când pe cer
S-aprind și pier
Rubine,
Să fugă-l las,
Fără popas,
Cu mine.

Căci să tot zbor
Un tainic dor
M-apucă,
Neîncetat,
Uitând, uitat,
Nălucă."
Vis de mai de Alexandru Macedonski*

"Ipomoea purpurea, the Purple, Tall, or Common Morning Glory, is a species in the genus Ipomoea, native to Mexico and Central America. Like all morning glories the plant entwines itself around structures, growing to a height of 2–3 m tall. The leaves are heart-shaped and the stems are covered with brown hairs. The flowers are trumpet-shaped, predominantly blue to purple or white, 3–6 cm diameter." read more on wikipedia
"Ipomoea* is the largest genus in the flowering plant family Convolvulaceae, with over 500 species. It is a large and diverse group with common names including morning glory, sweet potato, bindweed, moonflower, etc.
The most widespread common name is morning glories*, but there are also species in related genera bearing the same common name. Those formerly separated in Calonyction (Greek καλός, kalos, good and νύκτα, nycta, night) are called moonflowers. The generic name is derived from the Greek words ιπς (ips) or ιπος (ipos), meaning "worm" or "bindweed," and όμοιος (homoios), meaning "resembling". It refers to their twining habit. The genus occurs throughout the tropical and subtropical regions of the world, and comprises annual and perennial herbaceous plants, lianas, shrubs and small trees; most of the species are twining climbing plants." *

"Antirrhinum* is a genus of plants commonly known as snapdragons or dragon flowers, from the flowers' fancied resemblance to the face of a dragon that opens and closes its mouth when laterally squeezed. They are native to rocky areas of Europe, the United States, and North Africa".

"Mușcate*/Pelargonium* este un gen de plante florale, cunoscut popular sub numele de mușcate, care include circa 200 de specii."

"Pelargonium*  is a genus of flowering plants which includes about 200 species of perennials, succulents, and shrubs, commonly known as geraniums (in the United States also storksbills). Confusingly, Geranium is the correct botanical name of a separate genus of related plants often called cranesbills or hardy geraniums. Both genera belong to the family Geraniaceae. Linnaeus originally included all the species in one genus, Geranium, but they were later separated into two genera by Charles L’Héritier in 1789.
Pelargonium species are evergreen perennials indigenous to Southern Africa, and are drought and heat tolerant, but can tolerate only minor frosts. They are extremely popular garden plants, grown as bedding plants in temperate regions."
"Pelargonium hortorum (also called Garden Geranium, Malva or Malvón) is a species of geranium most commonly used as an ornamental plant. Species include the usual nursery "seed-grown" and the "cutting grown", which can easily be grown at home by cutting and planting side branches. These are stocky, large with double flowers."

 "E zi de mai*"...
"It's a day of may*"...

"May  is the fifth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian Calendars and one of seven months with the length of 31 days.
May is a month of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere and spring in the Northern Hemisphere (Summer in Europe). Therefore May in the Southern Hemisphere is the seasonal equivalent of November in the Northern Hemisphere and vice versa. No other month begins or ends on the same day of the week as May in any year. This month is the only month to have these two properties. However, May does share starting and ending days with various months of both previous and following years: every year, May starts and ends on the same day of the week as January of the following year."

  1. Heisann!

I admired the Antirrhinum by the sidewalk yesterday, too. My May post will be published tomorrow!
We have the same weather as yo have, a bit cloudy, some blue sky, sunshine and wind.
Thanks for your lovely "May is here"!

    1. Heisann! Salutare!
I presume It looks like an antirrhinum blooms, kind of sub-species of snapdragon because it's "snap" when laterally squeezed like...
Thankful, too, to find out about your next post! And so true about weather: it is so changeable, of course, it's Spring in whole process, in development of blooming... Lovely anyway... Have a gorgeous and sunny May!

    1. This month of may came with a cloudy sky and it is a little bit cold, but it's ok... these are some of the usual flowers in my balcony and, because of the weather, they are still in waiting for warmest and sunny days to look great again!! Thank you so much for appreciation and may you have a cosy and pleasant weekend!

Inca nu avem frunze in pomi.:-(
    Toate cele bune, Alexa!

Zoreaua, da...e de anul asta si infloreste din cand in cand si asta pentru ca e din semintele pastrate de la an la an... dar imi place si asa, ce sa zic...
Multumesc frumos de vizita si abia astept sa citesc despre portul St. Georges (nu pot sa-l deschid momentan..il ai in lucru postul, probabil).
      Asemenea, toate cele bune, Vulpita!
